I've not had much in terms of ideas for transfer system changes so I thought I'd throw my current thoughts at you.
I feel I've neglected the game a bit over the last few months due to workload (things I actually get paid for doing) but hopefully that's calming down enough for me to spend Sunday's working on Mystify.
My plan is to firstly scrap the restrictions on the deal being 30% of the players value. This was brought in to curb cheating on the old rating system but it now seems to be overkill and I'd prefer a free market.
To curb cheating I plan to be limiting the transfers you can do with another team to a maximum of 2 every 10 weeks and the future will have player contracts where I should be able to stop quality players going to low clubs but that's some way off.
I'm not sure what to do with the transfer pool yet. I feel there is a benefit to it but I need to establish it.
Due to the change from rating to skill, a lot of players are very similar in skills and this is to the current detriment of the game. Something I never envisaged. However, with training this is now going to change over time and be far more varied. The missing link is the extra positions - this will then give the game engine its true value and I'll be able to perhaps show more game information. Wing backs will be different from full backs for example.
I intend to clean all the team names up first and then get the new positions in play. I'm debating in the meantime to increase the 30% transfer restriction to 50 or 60% to help out whilst I can remove it.
