In a repeat of season 7's final, they faced fellow English team Oxford United and won 1-0 courtesy of a Frank Lampard strike ten minutes from time.

This victory gives Coventry the most European cup victories within Mystify Soccer and stops Hamburger SV's recent domination of the trophy.
