Season 18 begins with minor changes

Hello all and welcome to season 18 of Mystify Soccer.

Hopefully this season has more changes to come within the game but there have been a few minor tweaks over the weekend.

Firstly, you can now bid £0 along with a player to swap when placing a transfer offer in a situation where you have a negative bank balance. Previously there was a slight bug where this wasn't allowed due to 'insufficient funds' but, of course, £0 isn't actually requiring you to have any funds to offer.

Secondly, I have finally improved the 'Completed transfers' page to display swap deals in full. Hopefully this will aid in explaining why some deals look like 'bargains' when in fact previously there was a player moving in the other direction along with the money.

Alongside this I have added historical transfer information. Sadly I never recorded transfers prior to season 16 but there are 2 seasons worth of transfer history that you can now view. Eventually I will use this to display alongside players so you can see where they have been previously.

Thirdly, I have made changes to the chat room. The chat room has never been the best and it probably still isn't but I have now made the pages CSS & HTML compliant by removing the 'iframes'. As far as I am concerned it is a step in the right direction. I know there will probably still be issues with it but I will have another look at a future date. I would like to display who is currently in the chat room which I think would be a nice feature but I can't really borrow third party systems for this part of the site so I need to develop it myself which takes time.

Finally, I have created a RSS feed for the news on this site. I'm not sure if anybody will use this but it does no harm and for those that do use RSS, they may find it a useful addition.
